| Practice Profile Katrina has considerable experience in civil work advising and acting for Claimants and Defendants on small claims, fast and multi track matters. She takes a particular interest in procedural points and dealing with costs and limitation issues.
Katrina undertakes wide-ranging civil work including contractual disputes, insolvency, bankruptcy, consumer credit (and in particular credit hire), supply of goods and services, debt recovery and insurance disputes.
A large proportion of Katrina’s practice is personal injury based and she acts for both Claimants and Defendants in this field. Katrina has a particular interest in dealing with low velocity, “slam on” and other fraudulent type cases. She deals regularly with road traffic matters including claims made against the MIB, occupiers and employers liability cases, highway claims, package holiday claims and claims arising from defective premises. Katrina attends inquests and also deals with Criminal Injury Compensation Authority claims.
Katrina's housing practices involves both Social and Private work on behalf of Claimants and Defendants, across a wide range of areas including rent arrears, nuisance actions, charging orders, appeals and mortgage repossessions.
When she is not in court Katrina has a busy paperwork practice drafting pleadings and advising on liability and on quantum.
