| Practice Profile Elizabeth has a mixed common law practice extending across civil, family, crime and employment law. Family Elizabeth is instructed on a broad spectrum of family matters. She has experience in ancillary relief cases from advising prior to the issue of applications through to final hearings. She also deals with all aspects of child contact applications, including fact finding hearings in relation to domestic violence allegations. Her practice also covers applications for injunctions and hearings related to them, including contested hearings. Elizabeth’s practice also covers all aspects of Public Law Children work. Additionally, Elizabeth has extensive experience in advising on Inheritance Act claims. Civil Elizabeth acts for Claimants and Defendants in Small Claims, Fast Track and Multi Track hearings. In the past this has included harassment claims as well as contractual disputes, negligence claims, personal injury cases and road traffic accidents. She also acts in housing possession cases and in bankruptcy matters. Elizabeth is able to provide written advice or pleadings in all of these areas whenever it is required. Employment Elizabeth represents both employees and employers in all areas of employment law. She has experience in giving pre-issue advice, through to pleadings, and final hearings, including remedies hearings. Hearings in the past have lasted up to 10 days. Crime Elizabeth conducts both defence and prosecution cases across the criminal court system, including the Youth Court. She regularly appears in cases involving drugs offences; offences against the person; dishonesty offences; sexual offence allegations; public order issues; driving offences; benefit fraud; and dangerous dogs. She also acts in cases involving regulatory criminal offences. | |
