Practice Profile
Sophie has a mixed common law practice extending across civil, employment, family and criminal law.

Civil

Sophie acts for Claimants and Defendants across the civil spectrum. This has included bankruptcy proceedings, housing possession and disrepair claims, Consumer Credit Act claims and general property matters. Sophie has also appeared in the Employment Tribunal and is currently developing her employment practice.

Sophie is available to provide written advices or pleadings across the civil spectrum.

Sophie is also on the “Baby Barrister” scheme at the Treasury Solicitors.

Family

Sophie has been instructed in a range of family matters including defended divorce and nullity petitions, child contact and residence applications and injunctive relief. Sophie has also acted in public law proceedings.

Criminal

Sophie has experience prosecuting and defending in Youth and Magistrates courts. Her defence experience includes offences against the person; dishonesty offences; offensive weapons; driving and public order issues. She also has experience in offences and applications under the Dangerous Dogs Act and benefit offences. Sophie has also appeared in the Crown Court on several occasions for the defence and as prosecutor for local authorities.
