Educated at Rugby School and Durham University, Alexander was called to the Bar by Inner Temple in 1995.

5 Pump Court are delighted to welcome Alex to chambers. Alex recently joined and was formerly Head of Chambers at Kent Chambers in Maidstone.

Alexander has a broadly based common law practice with an emphasis on family law.

In Family matters Alexander acts with a particular emphasis on children’s welfare and Ancillary Relief.

In criminal matters he is briefed by Defence solicitors. Specialising in driving offences, domestic assaults and dishonesty cases. He also undertakes work for the DWP, Customs and Excise and the Health and Safety Executive.

In Civil matters Alexander acts for both Claimants and Respondents, especially in the areas of Personal Injury, Contract Law and Commercial litigation.

Other areas of practice relate to Prison Disciplinary Hearings and Employment Tribunals

In 2004 Alexander spent a year in the West Indies at New Street Chambers in Trinidad. He assisted a former colleague from Bar School set up a new Barrister’s Chambers, with particular emphasis on the conversion of Attorneys to Barristers-at-law. The commercially based Chambers specialised in Contract, Shipping Law and Industrial Disputes.
