Practice Profile Family: Chris is instructed in a wide range of children’s matters within both public and private law.
His practice covers all issues relating to residence, contact specific issue and prohibited steps in private law and all issues relating to care proceedings in public law acting for both local authorities, parents and guardians.
Chris regularly deals with injunction applications under the Children Act and the Family Law Act, Protection of Harassment Act injunctions as well as committal proceedings. His practice covers all venues of the Family Court including the High Court, Principal Registry of the Family Division, County Court and Family Proceedings Court.
Chris’ practice also comprises claims for ancillary relief, cohabitee disputes and Part 8 applications under the Trusts of Land and Appointment of Trustees Act 1996 as well as financial relief applications under the Children Act 1989.
Immigration: Chris regularly appears before Special Adjudicators at asylum/ human rights adjudications. His practice also includes presentation of appeals (and drafting of grounds) to the Immigration Appeal Tribunal and Judicial Review cases in the Administrative Court.
Chris is qualified to accept instructions under the Bar Council Public Access Scheme.
