Civil
Dickon’s civil practice encompasses Small Claims and Fast Track trials on liability and quantum concerning issues of both contract and negligence. He appears on behalf of claimants and defendants in housing and possession hearings. He is also instructed in relation to education law, including appearing at exclusion appeals tribunals, and in relation to licensing matters and applications for everything from closure orders to injunctive relief.
Criminal
Dickon has defended and prosecuted in all areas of crime including burglary, robbery, fraud and other dishonesty offences, assaults, ASBO applications, sexual assault, public order offences and possession of offensive weapons.
Dickon regularly prosecutes on behalf of the Crown Prosecution Service and the National Probation Service. He also has extensive experience of prosecutions brought by various local authorities in particular for offences under the Education and Housing Acts and for “fly tipping” offences.
Prison Law
Dickon acts for prisoners in relation to adjudications for breaches of prison rules, as well as recall hearings.
