Practice Profile
Juliet has a wide-ranging criminal practice involving work for both the Crown and defence. She has regularly been briefed in cases of serious violence, from attempted murder to affray and everything in-between. This type of work has encompassed serious domestic violence cases involving not only physical but also emotional abuse of victims and a whole family of hostile witnesses. This sort of case also covers cases of child abuse where young and vulnerable witnesses need to be guided through what to them is a very confusing and alien experience, despite special measures being in place.

Juliet has regularly been briefed in rape and sexual assault cases which of necessity will involve examination of witnesses on issues of sensitivity and potential embarrassment, whichever side of the trial has instructed her.

She has dealt with cases of large-scale drug importation and commercial smuggling of alcohol, tobacco and people. She has participated in armed robbery and aggravated burglary trials and also has experience of instructing and using expert evidence in a variety of forensic specialities.

Juliet is qualified to accept instructions under the Bar Council Public Access Scheme.
