Simon is a non-practising door tenant. Whilst he was in Chambers, he had a broad practice spanning criminal, civil and immigration work. He prosecuted and defended in the Crown Court in a wide variety of dishonesty, violence, drugs and sexual offences. He prosecuted allegations of blackmail, kidnapping and arson as well as defended in a string of robberies. He advised and appeared for Claimants and Defendants in multi-track and fast track trials in personal injury, landlord and tenant, consumer credit and contract claims.
After successful completion of the inaugural LSC/Bar Council Asylum and Immigration course in 2002, Simon was instructed regularly in a wide range of immigration and asylum cases when he represented clients of many nationalities before the IAA, IAT and AIT.
Since 2007,Simon has been employed as an Advocate/Legislative Counsel for the States of Guernsey.
