Assistant Practice Manager
We are looking for an Assistant Practice Manager supporting all of our teams but particularly our Family and Civil Practice Managers. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who is currently in a junior role in a clerking team looking to take a step up! The ideal candidate will have at least 2-3 years' experience of clerking particularly diary management, and be able to manage a busy and varied workload.
We are looking for someone with enthusiasm and ambition who can work with our Members and our Practice Managers to help to drive Chambers forward. This role would particularly suit someone who is organised and resourceful and who is looking to move up from a junior clerk position.
The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate the following:
- Experience in clerking and particularly diary management;
- The ability to build effective working relationships with clients and members, and to work well in a small staff team;
- Good spoken and written communication skills;
- Good organisational and time-management skills and the ability to work under pressure and to deadlines.
In addition, we expect the successful applicant to have IT skills such as Word, Outlook, and Excel (we work on MLC but can provide training on that platform).
