We are looking for a Junior Clerk to assist our busy Practice Managers in our core areas of civil, criminal and family law. Your duties will include assisting with diary management, agreeing fees, general clerking duties and administering our growing direct access workload. The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year's clerking experience, and will be looking to take on more responsibility and develop their career.
Salary: £20,000 (may be negotiable for an outstanding candidate) plus pension and season ticket loan after probationary period
Core hours: 9am to 6pm
Location: Chambers (we do not consider this position to be suitable for home working)

In addition, we expect the successful applicant to have a minimum of 5 high grade GCSEs (including Maths and English) and at least basic IT skills such as Word, Outlook, and Excel. Further and/or higher education would also be an advantage, particularly if you are interested in a long term career in clerking and want to gain relevant work experience in a busy general common law set.
