Regulatory

We are noted for our regulatory work, particularly relating to housing and property cases. We are especially well known for regulatory work in relation to Houses of Multiple Occupation where we boast some of the best known barristers in the business. Our members are experienced at representing clients in both the criminal and civil courts. We are able to advise on the interplay between the different jurisdictions and a suitable strategy for dealing with cases which involve both.

We also have significant expertise in a wide range of licensing issues. We represent both Local Authorities and licensees at licensing committee hearings and in court proceedings. We represent transport authorities (most recently TfL in cases relating to taxi licensing). Our strength and depth of experience of regulatory issues in civil and criminal proceedings means that we can provide a seamless service to clients throughout.
