Biography

Andrew is a civil practitioner specialising in chancery and commercial disputes, particularly those involving buildings or real estate. He appears regularly both in County Courts and the High Court, as well as in the Tribunal system.

Prior to coming to the Bar, Andrew had a lengthy and successful career in the construction industry, and in the design and development of commercial property projects. He is still actively involved in the industry as director of a commercial property and real estate company. He is therefore particularly well suited to understand the needs and concerns of property owners, and to represent them effectively.

In addition to his property practice, Andrew represents clients in relation to banking and finance claims including cases relating to mortgages, personal and corporate insolvency and insurance claims. He also has experience of Chancery claims including contentious probate; trusts of land and breach of trust, and general commercial litigation.

Andrew has a strong interest in Arbitration and Alternative Dispute Resolution, and will work with clients to find a consensual solution to their disputes where this is in their best interest.
