Third Six Pupillage

We are actively seeking ambitious Third 6 pupils who are seeking a career in one of our specialist practice areas.

We actively encourage applications for third six pupillage from pupils who wish to practice in a well-established common law set or in one of our specialist practice areas. We are particularly looking for those who wish to pursue a career at the family or criminal bar due to a surplus of work at the junior end.

We view third six pupils as future junior tenants. You can expect to be in court most days, and to undertake an interesting variety of work. Third six pupils generally earn more than those in second six (where most pupils earn £15,000 - £30,000) and benefit from a reduced rent.

Tenancy applications are considered towards the end of third six. We have a good rate of retention.
