Meet our newest tenant Alex Ferrigno!

Alex Ferrigno Alex Ferrigno 6th May 2025

We are delighted to welcome Alex Ferrigno as our newest tenant following successful completion of a probationary tenancy. Alex is a civil specialist.

Alex undertook pupillage at the Government Legal Department, working on the high profile Rwanda scheme amongst other policy initiatives. Not only did this provide Alex with training in immigration law, but also in managing very high profile work and in dealing with cases where the legal position forms only one of the considerations which are relevant to the client's decision making. Alex is good at considering the legal, policy and commercial aspects of litigation and of advising on each in order to help his clients to make a considered decision on the best way forward.

Alex spent his second 6 on secondment at Cornerstone Barristers where he undertook a range of property and housing litigation. He has experience of working for local authorities, government departments, landlords and tenants and is actively increasing his work in this area.

Since joining Chambers, Alex has undertaken a full range of civil work including property litigation, in which he has recently advised on a ongoing substantial nuisance case, and has provided advice on a lease extension. He has also acted in breach of contract, credit hire and personal injury cases. Alex also recently acted in a contentious probate case in the Chancery Division pf the High Court. In addition, Alex has experience in employment and immigration law. He invites instructions in all aspects of civil litigation.

Alex has embraced life at the self-employed Bar, and has been very active in outreach and pro bono initiatives. He has taken part in a panel event for The Sutton Trust, and has been requested by them for another event in the summer due to the positive feedback received. Alex is also a committee member of the Inner Temple Junior Bar Association and recently took part in an event relating to life as a 2nd 6 pupil, having attended the same event himself as a 1st 6 pupil! In respect of pro bono, Alex completed the Pupil Pledge for Advocate and features on this year's Pro Bono Recognition List.

Alex is a personable and friendly barrister, liked and trusted by clients who appreciate his pragmatic approach to litigation and strong advocacy skills. Head of Chambers, Abimbola Badejo, said "We are delighted to welcome Alex to Chambers and wish him a long and happy career at 5 Pump Court."
