BNLF Annual Gala Dinner

6th December 2025

We were delighted to take a table at the British Nigeria Law Forum Gala Dinner 2025 - always a fantastic evening of networking and celebrations!

We have a very proud history of supporting Nigerian lawyers and the BNLF, and have several members who are dual qualified. We are also delighted to work with solicitors and clients who have Nigerian ancestry and/or strong current links with Nigeria.

Our members Abimbola Badejo, Queenet Awesu and Victory Abang, attended the dinner and were very pleased to be joined by a number of friends and colleagues. The event was held in the Hall at Lincoln's Inn - a historical and spectacular setting - and the event was beautifully organised throughout!

We have a long history with the British Nigeria Law Forum, and Abimbola Badejo has previously served on the Executive Committee. He also spoke recently at a training event on family law.

Both Abimbola Badejo and Victory Abang are dual qualified in England and Wales and Nigeria. Abimbola practices in family law, and is often instructed as an expert where cases touch on Nigerian Law. He is regularly instructed to opine on whether adoptions within Nigeria have been undertaken lawfully, in order for those adoptions to be recognised in England and Wales. He has also given expert opinions on cases where children in the care of the local authority could be cared for by relatives in Nigeria; where children are being brought to the UK for care; on the lawfulness of marriage; and on a huge range of other issues. The cases in which he gives opinions are regularly reported, and he is one of the foremost experts in Nigerian law practising at the London Bar.

Victory Abang is a criminal specialist, and Queenet Awesu also practices in family law.

The Gala Dinner was, as always, a very enjoyable evening and we thank our guests for their company and the BNLF for their superb organisation! We are already looking forward to next year!
