Adjudication

Adjudication is a process frequently used to settle construction disputes. Parties select an independent adjudicator to determine their dispute rather than going to court. It may be specified in the contract, or the parties may choose it because it is quicker and cheaper than court proceedings. Adjudication often has very tight timescales, particularly where it concerns an ongoing project.

We have a number of qualified and experienced adjudicators who maintain an active practice in property law and are therefore ideally placed to determine disputes which arise. We are familiar with contract law, particularly JCT contracts, and have advised on many construction disputes both on behalf of clients and as adjudicators. We are very responsive, able to take on matters quickly and deal with them efficiently and effectively.
