Biography

Benjamin is a pupil barrister specialising in all areas of family law, with extensive experience in complex financial remedies and private children proceedings.

Before joining the Bar, Benjamin practised as a family law solicitor for five years, concluding his tenure at the esteemed Mayfair firm Peters May LLP. During this time, he was nominated for the Family Law Young Solicitor of the Year award at the LexisNexis Family Law Awards 2022.

Benjamin has a particular interest in TOLATA cases and is an active member of the Resolution Cohabitation Committee, having co-presented a talk on this subject at the 2023 Resolution conference.

He has advised clients on various issues concerning children, including relocation and parental alienation.

Committed to pro bono work, Benjamin volunteers with several initiatives, including the BPP Free Legal Advice Clinic and Families Need Fathers.

With his background as a solicitor, Benjamin possesses the expertise to quickly get to the heart of any issue, complemented by the calm confidence that extensive experience provides.

A v A (Arbitration: Guidance) [2021] EWHC 1889 (Fam): A key judgment by Mostyn J offering guidance on the process for appealing arbitration awards in family law.

HW v WW [2021] EWFC B20: A notable case presided over by HHJ Kloss, addressing Covid-19 as a potential Barder event for revisiting financial orders.

Rotenberg v Rotenberg & Ors [2024] EWFC 185: A case before Mr Justice Peel, where the judge struck out the applicant’s claims, confirming the existence of the Thwaite jurisdiction and concluding high court proceedings that had been ongoing since 2013.
