Biography
Sam joined 5 Pump Court in February 2026 as a Junior Clerk and has quickly become a valued member of the clerking team. Having gained experience across all of Chambers' practice areas, he now works exclusively within the Family team under the supervision of Jay Dorton, where he provides clerking and administrative support to both members of Chambers and professional clients.
Working closely with Jay, Sam assists with the day-to-day management of the Family practice, ensuring the efficient allocation of work, effective diary management and the smooth coordination of hearings, conferences and other commitments. He is responsible for liaising with solicitors, court staff and clients, helping to ensure that instructions are dealt with promptly and efficiently.
Sam has developed a reputation for being approachable, responsive and organised. He is confident in dealing with enquiries, understands the importance of providing a high standard of client care, and is committed to delivering an efficient and professional service. Whether assisting with the booking of counsel, discussing availability or responding to general enquiries, Sam is always happy to help and will do his utmost to accommodate each client's requirements
